He and his family moved to the town ten years ago largely because of the quality of the schools, and he feels a responsibility to ensure that this high standard of education is maintained for his younger children and all future students in the community. Matthew believes that New Canaan's schools should focus on core subjects and not be distracted by political agendas. Additionally, he is an advocate for increasing school safety by having a school resource officer in every school. Overall, his goal in running for the Board of Education is to contribute to the continued success and improvement of the New Canaan school district.
Matt Wexler
Matt Wexler is running for a seat on the Board of Education in New Canaan, Connecticut, with a clear vision for the educational system in the community. Lara is committed to maintaining and enhancing the quality of education in New Canaan and believes that her background as a mother of four children who will attend elementary, middle, and high schools in the district during her service gives her a unique perspective to contribute to the Board of Education.
